Flights
This is a list of some of the memorable flights I've had to date, listed from newest to oldest. The list below contains the 5 most recent flights. A more complete list can be found on the pages found to the left. Note: I'm slightly behind in the logging....ok, I'm 13 flights behind. I'm working on a new project that is taking up almost all of my time.
The flights that get logged after Apr 30 may be somewhat simplified if it helps get them out the door. I added a flight from Sep 16, but should be able to fill in the flights from Apr 30 to Sep 16 more or less chronologically.

The siren song of 400ft ceilings at nearby Sullivan County with 1500ft ceilings at Lincoln Park mean that it's time to bang out some approaches.

VFR to Central Jersey to pick up some gas, then IFR to CXY and back to Lincoln Park. Thunderstorms passing through nearby MMU and CDW, definitely the hardest I've ever worked in an airplane.

This was an amazing opportunity to visit Lockheed Martin in DC to attend a presentation about the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and then take a ride in their cockpit demonstrator. We fly IFR down to HEF, attend the sim ride, do some hangar flying with the other attendees, take in the best Indian food I've ever had, and then return home for a spectacular night flight back to Lincoln Park.

| Apr 20, 10 | Trip to Kentucky for the annual
New York tries to give us 1200nm+ routing for a 574nm flight. Longest and highest flight of mine to date (12k, 574nm), with the GPS inop for most of the way there. Engine failure in IMC adds to the excitement, but all ends well. First use of block altitude to avoid a prolonged stay above 12.5k, and to cloud surf.
